Dr. R.A. Umar Shabazz Bey, a pioneering force in the celebration and preservation of Black innovation, founded and directs, The Original Museum of Black Inventions. His 35-year groundbreaking work highlights the significant contributions of Black inventors, and has enriched the global understanding of their impact. In addition to his museum efforts, Dr. Bey is a distinguished educator, recognized for his innovative methodologies that enhance student learning and achievement. A renowned advocate of Indigenous peoples, Dr. Bey has led influential research projects, helped draft legislation, and shared his expertise at prestigious venues, including the United Nations Peace Palace in Geneva. His contributions have greatly advanced the appreciation of Indigenous and African diaspora communities worldwide.
